Remote Procedure Call Error

I just installed Windows XP onto my computer and for some
odd reason it wants to bring up some error having to do
with a Remot Procedure call and then it gives me a
countdown for shutting down my computer (which it does
automatically on its own) can someone please tell me how
to prevent this from happening? I dont even have to be at
my computer sometimes and it has occured. I dont
understand what this error is or even where it originates
from. I keep loosing work and documents due to this and it
is interrupting just everything I do.

Interrupt what you normally do and turn on your firewall. Then install a
good antivirus program. Then disinfect you computer because it has the
MsBlast Worm on it!

If you connected the PC to the Internet without having first
installed the KB824146 Hotfix, without having first installed an
antivirus application with current virus definition files, and before
enabling a firewall, you're very likely to get infected from any of
the thousands of PCs on the Internet that are constantly broadcasting
the Blaster and/or Welchia worms. It only takes a few seconds of
exposure.

To stay on-line long enough to get the necessary updates, patches,
and removal tools, click Start > Run, and enter "shutdown -a" when the
next RPC countdown begins. This will abort the shut down. Also, make
sure you've enabled a firewall before starting, to preclude any more
intrusions while getting the updates/patches/tools.
