Hi
I recently installed XP Pro. I kept getting this message "This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was intiated by NT Authority\System. Windows must now restart because the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly". Then my computer would restart and restart and restart.... ugh!!!!!
I went into Admin. tools-Computer Management - Services & Applications - I then double clicked on both RPC's, in the log on tab I chose disable and in the Recovery tab I chose Take No Action in all 3 of the drop down menus
Was this ok to do? Will I be experiencing any other errors or problems? So far my computer has not run into this error message and everything seems to be working
Please advise
Thank you
Sherri
