I am trying to connect to our office server via modem. I
was able to logon and surf the net but, I cannot "PING"
our e-mail server and router IP addresses.

I already tried to add Netbui and IPX / SPX protocol, but
when try to dial-up, an error message "IPX/SPX or
compatible CP reported error 733" What does it mean?

This problems are only happening on our Win 2000 machines
but not on Win 98 which are all dialing the same server
(WinNT)

Please HELP

Thanks

First suggestion would be not to use Netbuei or IPX. What authentication
method are you using? NT domain? Do you have DHCP? A little more info
about your setup would help.

Thanks for the help...

I am accessing thru RAS using a modem. The server is a
Windows NT domain. I does not have DHCP. I am using
Windows 2000 Pro as a client.

I was able to connect and login to the NT server, but I
cannot ping its IP address

I was also able to surf the net using the same connection

I hope this info will help

thanks again
