Help with NWLINK

B

Ben

I recently uninstalled Nwlink IPX/SPX/NetBios Compatible Transport Protocol,
instead of just unticking it in the Network properties. Now that I need to
re-install, I can't find it.
I don't have it in Settings/Network and Dial-Up
Connections/properties/Install Protocol. Even if I say Have Disk and send it
looking under Winnt/inf...Nothing.
I am using Windows Server 2000 with SP4.
Any ideas, how to get this damn protocol back...

On my 2000 Sp4 box I see it listed by doing:

Properties of Network Places,..Properties of the "Connection",...Click
"Install", ...Select Protocol,...Click "Add",...Select NWLink IPX/SPX

Yeh, well, I also have it on my other servers. But NOT on the server with
the problem. It's just not there and no browsing or CD inserting will find
it. What to do ???

Don't know. I've never heard of that. Wait and see if others have any ideas.

I restarted the server, and the protocol re-appeared magically. All is well.
