Hi,

If I remote desktop to my pc (XP SP2) and I get disconnected the
session actually logs me off. If there a way to keep that session
going so that when i remote desktop back all my programs are still
running?

You might look at the Group Policies on the PC you connect to and see how they are configured.

Run gpedit.msc on the Remote Desktop host machine and navigate to the Local Computer Policy |
Computer Configuration | Administrative Templates | Windows Components | Terminal Services |
Sessions policies.

Make sure fast user switching is enabled on both machines...and if it is
disable..then rdc back in log off...enable fast user switch..Thats all I can
think of now....or use Tight VNC and dont worry about RDC anymore
