Hi..
I have a single Wyse 9150SE on my network and I screwed it up.. So I
wanted to reinstall the image to it. It runs Windows XPe. I downloaded
the image file from the Wyse website but their "simple imager" utility
is ANYTHING but simple -- it requires two or three prerequsites and the
one page help file is confusing. I finally got that working I thought
but could not get the device to find all the files it needed to reimage
it.
I then tried to install the Rapport 4.4.1 software that Wyse offers but
I couldn't even get that installed.
I called Wyse and they suggested I send the unit back to them for
reimaging. This unit is not essential -- its something I'm playing with
to learn more about XPe and building ActiveX controls to run on that
O/S so I forsee needing or wanting to reimage the unit with some
regularity.
I have installed the Remote Installation service on my Windows 2003
Server but the initial setup is looking for an install directory. The
only thing I have is a file from Wyse with a I2D extension. Can I use
this file with the Remote Install service? If not can I some how
extract / convert / etc. this file into something I can use?
