Hi
I am trying to remove PCAnyWhere from my client's machines and to replace it with Remote Desktop. With PCAnyWhere I had to open a number of ports on the firewall (in fact I had to open 3 sets of ports to allow 3 PCAnywhere clients). Do I have to do the same thing with Remote Desktop (and which ports would I open). If I want to allow Remote Desktop on a number of machines, do I have to set port numbers for these desktops? Do I have to assign new port numbers (if so - please, how?
Thanks for any help you can provide

Rich

Yes you will have to open the port in the firewall. The default port that
remote desktop listens on is 3389. You can change that port if needed.

You can be a remote desktop host on any xp pro machine and any windows
machine can be a client, but only one client can connect to and use remote
desktop on the pro host at a time.
