Remote Desktop?

I wish to give a Powerpoint presentation in a hall with an overhead video projector. The projector is wired to a PC at the back of the hall but I will present from the front.

The PC and my laptop are set up for wireless networking. Is there any way of networking my laptop with the PC so as to display my presentation through the projector via the PC, using Remote Desktop or otherwise? I find that I can control the PC with RD but that the projector displays the XP startup screen, which is what the host displays whilst under remote control.

It can't be done with the built in remote desktop connection, but you can use a
program called Ultra VNC to get much better results. You can find it at this
address: http://ultravnc.sourceforge.net/

Just run the server part on your projector computer, and the client part on the
laptop. It's pretty easy to set up.

You can try VNC: http://www.realvnc.com
It will allow you to manipulate the existing desktop on the machine you
connect to, not a new one (although that's possible as well, I believe).
