Hi Group,
I may not have the correct group here, but I'm desperate. I'm trying to do a
PowerPoint show. I have a HP ze5500 laptop. An NEC vt660 projector. Both
near new. The projector shows the desktop background from the laptop but not
the desktop icons or open programs, just the background image. I troubleshot
it and the projector shows everything fine from my desktop PC. Something
about the laptop is not sending everything to the projector, only the
background. Some have suggested a keyboard command. This is Win XP Home. Any
ideas will be appreciated.

Hi Bob:

You have to use the correct resolution to show the entire screen on
your projector. Set your laptop resolution the same as you're using
on your desktop machine. Your projector is designed to work best at
1024 x 768. Try setting your laptop the same (if possible).
