Please, do you know what kind of security(¿encryption?) uses the Remote
desktop connection?
I'm evaluating the risks of this service in order to use it in the office
and need to learn more about it.

Use a *strong* password or run RDP through a VPN or SSH tunnel for added
security. An added plus of running RDP through a VPN or SSH tunnel is that
you can also reach any PC on your LAN by only opening one port on your
firewall. You also might configure the XP Pro RDP host PC or Terminal Server
to only connect using high encryption versus low or client compatible. That
is configured using a group policy...

Personally I use a strong password, limit RDP use to one user on each PC I
connect to, only use high encryption and run RDP through an OpenVPN
tunnel...
