Remote Desktop

Hi,

i'm having trouble using windows xp's remote desktop utility to connect to a
windows 2000 machine from an XP Pro machine. I have installed the remote
desktop utility on the win2k machine but still no joy.
the connection works the other way though. can anybody think of anything? it
is the same at home on a workgroup, as at work on a domain.

any help appreciated greatly.

i should have mentioned, the win2k macine is on SP4, and the XP machine has
no service packs installed.

not sure if that will make a difference.

Just use VMware, xp remote desktop is crap.

W2K can't handle Remote Desktop. Only XP to XP or to a server that has
Terminal Services enabled.
You can use Remote Desktop from W2K to XP though.
