I would like to use Remote Desktop to control my Windows
2000 box from my XP box. I am able to get the 2000 box to
control the XP box, but not the reverse. Does anyone have
any suggestions. I used my XP install CD to install
Remote Connection software on my 2000 box, but I think
that is what is allowing my 2000 box to control the XP
one. As I said I want to do the opposite. Any advice
would be greatly appreciated. If there is a better
subject area for me to use to submit this question please
let me know, and I will resubmit under that subject matter.

Thanks,
frank

Hi Frank, is your Windows 2000 box running Windows 2000 Pro or Windows 2000
Server? If it's Windows 2000 Pro then that version does not comes with
Remote Desktop Connection. There are a few third party solutions out there
that will work though.

I am running 2000 Pro. So I guess I am out of luck. I
have played with TightVNC but I just liked the look and
feel of Remote desktop better. If you have any other
suggestions I am will to try some other apps.

Thanks,
Frank Rhodes
