I have a computer running WinXP Pro. It's a member of a domain. When I
enable Remote Desktop, I can connect as the local Administrator account and
the DOMAIN\Administrator account just fine. However, when I try to connect
as a domain user, I get this message: "Your interactive logon privilege has
been disabled. Please contact your system administrator."

Does anyone know why I would get this message? This domain user has been
given administrative rights on the local computer. The user has a password.
I added the user to the Remote Desktop Users group. What else do I need to
do?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike:

What I do is create a special admin gp member user acct on a DC, and then a
ws user can enter that user name and password at the RD logon prompt.

The user already _is_ a member of the local Remote Desktop Users group --
both by being added specifically and also by being in the Domain Users
group. I also added her to the Domain Admins group for testing and that
doesn't help.

Is there anything special about having this computer be a member of the
domain that prevents RD from working? Or is there anything that I should
look at? Have you ever tried this?

Thanks,
Mike
