remote desktop questions

Is there a way for me to view what is open on the other
computers (on my lan) screen. sort of like remote
desktop, but with out having to disconnect the current
user.

Unless you are using terminal services and it's
configured to allow that, the only way is to use remote
assistance, but the user has to allow you to see the
machine.
