Remote Desktop Problems

John

I have 2 XP Pro machines networked behind a router and
testing RD back and forth between the two. I receive two
different errors going from one to the other and back the
other way.

Error #1: The local policy of this system does not permit
you to logon interactively.

Error #2: Because of a protocol error detected at the
client (code 0x1104), this session will be disconnected.
Please try connecting again later.

Both machines have the exact same administrator login and
password. Internet firewall is off and remote is enabled
on both.

Can anyone help please?

You need to go into the local security policy, expand local policies and choose user right assignments. Set to alow log on locally and llow log on through terminal service. Make sure that these users are not defined in the Deny logon locally and through terminal services

Just in case, check the Remote Desktop system properities to allow

Good luck

second?
