Remote Desktop Printing

We use Remote Desktop regularly for clients, but I've run in to a
problematic printer - an HP OfficeJet all-in-on 7100 series.

HPs most recent software, as well as the original, insists on
installing a DOT_IEEE port for the printer on the local machine - using
a USB connection. The printer works fine from the machine, but fails to
get re-directed for printing from the Remote Desktop.

Any ideas?

Most multi-function printers are not visible in Remote
Desktop sessions.
