Remote Desktop no longer works on XP

Remote Desktop was working fine whenever I needed to Remote into my XP
Desktop at my office. Now it either times out or indicates that it is too
busy or it does not accept connections. Terminal Services on the servers
work fine. I can also remote to my desktop Internally without any problems.
Is this a router issue? Or perhaps a recent hot fix? Please help...

Can you telnet the port 3389?
