I have the client software on my windows 2000 machine to
log into a XP machine but the history of where i logged in
stays intact even after i reboot the machine or even
shutdown. Is there anyway to clear the history from the
log in field.

The list of remote computers can be deleted from the registry at

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Defaul
Delete String Values MRU0, MRU1..

The logon name is stored in the default.rdp file in your Home Folder, i.e. My Documents, and is hidden by default
