Me

I have a computer at home running Windows XP Pro. This
computer is on a network with a Laptop running XP Home. I
want to be able to go somewhere with my laptop (like
another city) and be able to access my windows xp pro
computer from there but it does not work. If I am at home
with my laptop on the same network as the xp pro computer
I can connect to it just fine. But when I am not on the
network it does not work.

Some Information that may be helpful!

Computer I am trying to connect to is running XP Pro. And
internet connection is DSL (through Linksys router on
network)

Computer I am trying to connect from is running XP Home.
And connects through Dial up connection (when not on
network)

Is it possible to do this?

All help is GREATFULLY Appriciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In Advance!!!!!!!!!!

You need to forward Port 3389 on the Linksys to the IP of the XP Pro
machine. Then, From the road. You use the Public IP to connect. The router
will forwad the packets to the Pro machine.
