Until recently I've been able to remote administer a W2K
server with active directory, using remote desktop. Now
after I login I get to a blue screen and no items load...
(i.e. taskbar or icons or anything).

I do come up as an active connection in the terminal
services manager... And it appears all clients have this
problem.

Is there anyway to correct this problem without restarting
the machine... As this machine is the only domain
controller of this domain as well as the email server?

Thanks
Dave

If you reboot this machine, does the problem then go away?

What happens if you wait at the blue screen? Does
anything ever come up?

What about if you logon using a different account?

Any eventlog entries surrounding this problem?

I don't know if the problem is corrected if I reboot...
I'd prefer not to reboot the machine since it is the DC
and Email Server.

I'm looking for a way to correct without rebooting.

The logs yield nothing, however I was able to login with a
different account.
Do you have any ideas why the administrative account isn't
working???

Hmm...Have you tried removing the admin's profile (or at
least the admin's ntuser.dat file) then logging on again?
It sounds like something in the profile has been corrupted
or is otherwise screwing stuff up.
