Remote desktop connection

I suddenly noticed a new icon on my desktop labelled "Remote desktop
connection, 2". I clicked on it but am unable to discover what on earth it
represents. I never installed it, or if I did I have no idea what it is for.
Can anyone help? Thanks.
 
Remote Desktop Connection is a new feature of XP Pro, which enables any PC
Running 98/98se/2000/XP to connect to a Windows XP Pro PC. This is a handy
feature for people who need to access a computer remotely. To use, you must
know the PC's admin or admin user's password.
