Remote Desktop Connection problems to Win 2000 Terminal Server

Having set up a VPN to my office, I cannot connect
through Remote Desktop Connection. It says there is a
network error. When I look on the Server, it says it
cannot issue a client licence. I thought XP came with a
TS licence?

Help!
 
What hardware are you using to establish the VPN? Is the
server also your VPN server? Are you trying to remotely
control the server (os version?) or another workstation
(os version?)?
