Remote Desktop Connection Failure

I have successfully connected to the office from home via VPN. However, when
I type in the ip address for work into the remote desktop connection it
doesn't allow me in. There are no problems for anyone else to access the rdc,
is there something i have to disable for me to connect to a remote desktop?

Can you ping the remote desktop computer?
