Remote Control and Dual Monitors

I have dual monitors on both my pc at home and at work. However, remote
control only seems access the primary monitor on the pc being remote
controlled. Hence, anything that was opened up on the 2nd monitor at work
last will be inaccessible and off the screen at home during the next remote
control session. Is there anyway to allow the 2nd monitor to be accessible
via remote control? I don't wish to move the display to the primary monitor
but actually be able to access both monitors. At home, my 2nd monitor
displays my local pcs desktop and I would like for it to display the 2nd
monitor of the pc being remote controlled.

Can't be done with XP's remote desktop. The reason is you don't really have
two desktops, you have one desktop stretched across two monitors. When you
remote in, it displays your one desktop(that's all you have). It "cuts" off
part of the desktop because it is stretched beyond the limits of your single
monitor. I have heard there are thrid party remote apps that will do this or
video cards that actually make two desktops, but I don't know the names off
hand.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I thought was happending, but I also
thought they may be somewhere to tell remote control that the pc doing the
remote control has two monitors for its desktop. In my humble opinion, it
should NOT be cutoff then if it extends beyond the limit of the primary
monitor but be able to determine the width of the desktop of the pc doing
the remote control (including both monitors) and place it in its appropriate
position. If both pcs have dual monitors, it SHOULD work.

Thanks for the info!

You might try running remote desktop in any other resolution than full
screen. Then it might force the whole desktop into the window on the local
machine.
