I have xp home and i am using realvnc to connect to other computers and this
works fine. However because I have XP home i cannot connect to my computer!

I have downloaded the latest updates and configured my firewall so that
realvnc is in the exceptions list. I use realvnc for work and it works fine
connecting up to XP pro computers but it would be useful to connnect up to my
computer.

Can anyone help or maybe suggest another type of software that i could use

Cheers

WinVNC works with any version of Windows, including
WinXP Home. You need to supply more information before
someone can give you specific advice:
- What ports did you open in the firewall?
- Are you trying to connect to the WinXP Home PC from
an internal network or from the outside?
- If you're trying from the outside, do you have a fixed
or dynamic external IP address?
- If you're trying from the outside, have you created a tunnel
through your outer (if you have a router!)?

RealVNC has two modules. One is the Viewer, which allows you to connect to
other PCs running the VNC Server module/service. You need to set up RealVNC
Server as a service on HP Home. Then, open the firewall and let the Server
have the exception (Port 5900 is standard.)
