Remote Assistance

I'm having a problem connect to a friends computer with Remote Assistance.
I have no problem connecting to his laptop which is running Windows XP. I
am running Vista Home Premium. He just bought a new computer which also has
Vista Home Premium and we cannot get the two computers to connect. It
doesn't matter whether he uses Messenger to send the request or email a
file, it won't connect. Any ideas? Is this the right forum for this
question? Thank you.

Look at firewall settings. If you have a 3rd party firewall on his computer
(likely if he has any sort of internet protection suite) it may cause
problems. Uninstall the suite to get rid of the firewall and re-enable the
Windows firewall. You should be able to connect .

Teanviewer 3 will also have this issue using a 3rd party Firewall. Believe me I have
tested it intensely when I was doing the Beta and the final release of Teamviewer.
