Remote assistance and messenger

Hi, I am just trying to use Remote Assistance with my Dad
and need to know what version of messenger is best.

We both use Windows XP Home Edition. He connects to the
Internet through MSN and I do through Peoplepc. We use
the Internet Connection Firewall.

What would be the best upgrade 5.0 or 4.7?

We don't use messenger for email or anything else.

Greetings Lauren,

Remote Assistance should work with both versions, however if you don't use the e-mail
features of Messenger, going directly to 5.0 could save you some hassles.
