Remote Access

I have a small business in which we have only three employees. I need to set
up the pc in the office to allow remote access so that we can use a program
called REA while we are traveling for business or also when I am at home in
the evening. I thought that I have to set up a static IP address, but if
anyone can let me know if that is my only option, and what I need to do to
get this up and running I would appreciate it.
