Your pop3 account can be accessed with Outlook from anywhere or you can use
a Web-based service if your provider provides one.
If you want to access existing email stored in Outlook locally from another
location then you might need to use a service such as provided by the
Outlook Connector (with Hotmail) to publish or copy email to a web location.
Another option is to check with your provider if you can change the POP3
account to an IMAP one. IMAP uses a server-side mailbox. Alternatively, it
is possible to leave future messages on the server with a POP3 account so
they can be accessed from anywhere.
If it is POP3 you just add the account to Outlook. that doesn't mean you can
access existing mails already downloaded. They reside on the hard drive
unless the option to leave them on the server is used or IMAP is used.
i t hink we are narrowing down the options. does "remote desktop web
connection" work well?
