Remote Access Web - passing parameters

Brian Steele

Hi Everyone:

I've got the Remote Desktop Web Connection page set up on one of my servers.
Is it possible to pass the name of the remote PC and the desired screen
resolution to the page so that the user is connected directly instead of
having to choose or input the relevant options on the page?

Regards,
Brian

That approach wouldn't be suitable for what I'm trying to do - we've got an
app here that tracks all WinXP systems on our LAN and I want to add in an
automatic Remote Desktop web connection feature for each PC that supported
Remote Desktop. Creating a web connection page for each those PCs would be a
bit tedious. By passing the remote server parameter to one page, all that's
required is one page that can be used for all of the PCs :).

That works too.... Actually, you could also code one page that will
let you select the server (pull the computer/resolution from an XML or
Database file)...

Lots of possibilities...
