reminder

can someone please tell me why a reminder box pops up on
my computer every time i turn it on? or more
importantly, how to get it to close?
there does not seem to be any information as to what it
is or where it comes from so i don't know where to look
for an answer as to how to get rid of it.

the box header says:
Reminder Thursday, September 18, 2003 7:48:01pm (or
whatever time i originally turned on my computer).

inside the box it says:
the page cannot be displayed....the web site may be
experiencing technical difficulties...etc.

PLEASE can someone tell me how to get rid of this stupid,
useless "reminder".

Check your startup settings to find out what is causing this.

Try looking in Start, All Programs, Startup folder. Right click and
select Properties, anything that has "reminder" in title. Find
offending program, open and see if there is any way stop the reminder
from auto starting. Also, delete the icon found in Startup folder.
