remember last file path used in insert>object

Is there a way to have PP remember the last file path used in
insert>object>from file, as it does when you use insert>picture>from file? It
would save time and cut down on annoyance.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Nothing I can think of, but 'copy & paste' is a good command right now.

I know it's kind of obvious/useless, but that's the most I can help you.
(Usually for me, PowerPoint goes back to the last place I inserted a picture
from.)

thanks for the reply. Copy/paste is an option; or, I could build a shortcut
on my desktop when I anticipate repeated visits for inserting objects, since
browse gives you quick access to the desktop. It's not usually until after
I've had to make a repeat browse to an object file that I start muttering
under my breath. I was hoping someone knew of an option that could be
defined somewhere to "turn on" remembering the last browsed to path.

Such is life. Any hey.....maybe the developers are watching.

Namaste
