I have been running a program called REM Sticky Note (or at least I thought
that was the name). It operates by typing in the command line in Start/Run
the reminder prefixed by RM. Then you get the reminder as a sticky note on
the desktop. If you right click on the note you should be able to go to the
web page but it must be obsolete. Further more I cannot locate the program
on my hard drive to find the proper name of it. Does anyone know if this
program is still available and where is it located?

Yes, I know the program. It must be located in your path statement, so
probably "C:\Windows" will do. You can type "path" in a DOS box to see
your full path statement.

I've used it for a long time, but could not figure out how to start a
new line. Normaly, something like /n would do the trick but not within
this program. You're right, the webpage seems to be gone. REM Sticky
Notes seems still widely available but Google gives lots of broken
links. So I've posted REM Sticky Notes to alt.binaries.freeware at your
attention. :-)

NB: if you figured out how to start new lines, please let me know. :-)

Aaah! Thank you very much and I will visit freeware and take a look.

To locate the file on your harddisk: do a find for "rm.exe".

You can find REM - Sticky Notes v1.0.6 here:

I don't think you can, however, you can start a second instance of REM -
Stick Notes with a second note.

Try \n (with a backslash, not a forward slash). That's the usual code.

Perhaps you should consider a replacement? ATnotes and Stickies are most
popular post-it programs, and in both you can set a hotkey to start a new
note
