related topics show nothing..

1) i have win xp pro sp1 fully updated by the microsoft
windows update scan.
at help and support when i sellect a topic, the choise
related topics does not work at all. it ignores my
click...
during instalation of win xp i faced no problems



2)my homepage keeps changing each time i switch on my pc
to one ...irrelevant page! each time i correct my page...
this problem is related with spyware?, so i need an
adaware program?..

1. Start Menu/Help and Support doesn't work: Go to
Start/Run and type in: helpctr -regserver

2. For a "spy" killer program, go to below website and
in their Search type either SPYBOT or AD-AWARE:
(Note: I personally use Spybot, it is very small, simple
and effective):

You may have run Adaware and let it remove a reference in the registry to'Alexa' - there is spyware of that name, but the method is also used for 'related links'
Make the following, after - - start and before - - end into a file by cut/paste to NotePad. Don't let lines wrap around: [HKEY through 57a}] is one line, with a space between Internet and Explorer. Then each "something"= starts a new one, as does the continuation line starting 74,65 before the "clsid"= one

Make sure there is a blank line at the end. Save as "Patch.reg" then right-click on this file and take Merge to enter it into the registry.
