reintall ie6 ?

I followed http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378/EN-US/ and my ie6 can't be
reinatlled as it says a newer version is on?

I just followed the intruction to repair ie6 and the thing is impossible as
i can't reintall it. IE6 is damaged so what do I do?
I type and url and i get an exception error and have to close it down.

I am confused , you mean i need to reinstall the whole of sp2 so that will
fix ie6?

The website just isn't clear on this fairly important point.

If you upgrade Windows from SP1 to SP2, you can reinstall IE 6 by uninstall
and reinstall the SP2. If you install Windows by Windows XP SP2 CD. You can
reinstall IE 6 by repairing Windows.
