reinstalling xp

I have two desktop computer running windows xp. I want to wipe
everything off computer #2 and reinstall windows xp. I have misplaced
that cd. However, I have windowsxp cd form computer #1. Can I use this
cd and the product key from computer #2 to do this. I inserted the cd
and it told me the version of windows on computer #2 is newer than the
cd. Does this mean my product key on computer #2 will not work with
windowsxp from computer #1.

Thanks for any help

You'd need to boot off the cd
and not install from withing the OS

I have tried to boot off the cd but am unable to. I put the cd in and
restart the computer but windows loads up. It does not give me the
option to boot from the cd. How would I do this. I have also tried
pressing the Delete Key, F2 key, F8 Key, and F12 key. Any suggestions.

Try F11. If that doesn't work, look up your motherboard on the Net at
the motherboard manufacturer's web site. Some motherboards allow
changing the boot order without going into the BIOS, others don't.

That's right...
so you may have to set the boot order in the bios
to boot first from cdrom

Make sure your "F-Lock" is on, or the computer will not respond to the
keys.
