Reinstalling XP repair fault

After reinstalling Win XP Repair I have the following fault connected with
Works Calendar

SPRINGFIELD_ADV_DAEMOV.WKSCAL.EXE

The procedure entry point GETIUMS could not be located in the dynamic
library DLL

Try reinstalling Works.

I have done this but still get the above message.

How do I fix this please?

i doubt you did a clear reinstall of windows XP, and i presume you did a
repair installation. After repair installation, Windows XP preserves all
startup items you had in your previous windows XP installation

Consider using start--> run--> type in "msconfig" without the quotes, press
ok
go to startup tab and remove all checkboxes from there (except for
ctfmon.exe perhaps)

In the event I did not need to do a repair as there was nothing wrong with
XP. The fault was with MS Works installation. At the time I was attempting
to start from the installation CD in order to check the operation of my
modem. That's another story!
I am concerned to know what effect tuning of all items would have( apart
from ctfmon)
