I am attempting a repair, and near the end of the repair I am getting an
error, "The procedure entry point GetIUMS cound not be located in the
dynamic link library MSDART.dll" How can I correct this. (can't acces
windows since I am doing a repair)

If repair failed, then reboot to xp cd,install xp,new copy.Repair xp seems to
rarely fix the problems any way, also by the time youre left with a repair,no
updates are installed, youre almost starting from scratch....

Hi JoeM,

This workaround seems to be successful in getting by the error and
completing the install/reinstall:

Press Shift +F10 to bring up the Command prompt. Then key in taskmgr.exe in
the DOS window and hit ENTER. The Task Manager should be started. If not,
then try pressing C+Shift+ESC. In the Task Manager window, select the error
messsage window in the application list and click "End Task". In the process
list, terminate the unregmp2.exe program. Exit the DOS prompt window and
resume the install.
