I would like to start fresh and reinstall Windows XP on my computer but I do
not have a cd to do so. Windows was preloaded on my computer so I didn't
need to install with a cd. How can I reinstall Windows XP without a cd?

If you have an HP computer, start up your system tools and find the
non-destructive reinstall feature. For a Dell or most others, read your
owners manual and it should telll you how to start the reinstall from a
hidden(or not) hard drive partition

If your computer did not have a restore CD set, then it has a hidden restore
partition on your hard drive. When you first set up your computer, you were
prompted to create a restore disc set, and you probably ignored it.

You can restore your computer to a factory fresh state by running the
restore utility from the HDD...check with the manufacturer of your computer
on how to do so, as it varies form brand to brand and even from model to
model.

I strongly urge you to create the restore disk set, as it is your only hope
if the hard drive fails and you have to install a new hard drive.
