Reinstalling windows xp profesional on my desk top

I have a boot disk but every time i try to reboot my computer is telling me.
Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM : Failure ......
Disk boot failure, insert disk and press enter
But id I insert the disk (3.5 Disk) at the end of the set up it is telling
me that it did not find the Hard drive drivers please help....

Do you have a regular boot disk or an actual Windows XP CD?
