Greetings --
Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on, and install
it onto the new one. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
Here are the facts pertaining to activation:

Be forewarned, however, they changing the OS on the Sony Vaio will
very probably void its warranty.

I installed a Windows XP Pro upgrade on an old Laptop (pentium II)
to use after surgery. The laptop turned out to be way too slow and
took forever to load. So I went out and bought a new Sony Vaio Laptop
(P4 2.33 MHZ, 1 Gig RAM) which came pre-loaded with XP Home edition.
I will be using only the Vaio now, mostly for wireless networking. I
want to use the upgrade I puchased for my old laptop on the new one.
I understand you can only use the disk once. How can I load the
upgrade on the Vaio?
