My pc needs a bit of a clean out and I want to reinstall windows. I know how
to do that but Ive copied all of my music and videos and program back-ups
onto my second hard drive. I know everything on my first hard drive will be
destroyed but what will happen to my second hard drive?

1) Will it be destroyed also?
2) Or will it be fine but will have to be reformatted when windows starts up
again?

Thanks

Assuming you install on the same drive you're already using for the OS
nothing will happen to your other drive. Backup any EFS keys applicable and
be prepared to take ownership of some of the files if need be. Other than
that you should be all set.
