Due to the failure of the original motherboard on my E-machine Ireplaced it
with an ASUS P4P800-VM motherboard and installed a new OEM version of Windows
XP Home. If iI reinstall Office 2003 from the original setup disc will the
product key code show as beimg installed on a second machine when I activate.
I was able to copy the hard drive to an external drive before I installed the
new OS. Can I move Office 2003 from the external drive to the hard drive or
will this still show as being installed on a second machine?

Just as the operating system required re-activation, so will Office.
This shouldn't be a problem/

No, that's not at all feasible. How will you recreate the hundreds
(possibly thousands) of registry entries and to replace the dozens
(possibly hundreds) of essential system files back into the appropriate
Windows folders and sub-folders?
