Reinstalled OL2002; won't recognized copied .PST file

Like many others, I had to wipe my hard drive clean via system recovery.

I copied the OL (2002) .PST file as part of my back up. After reinstalling
everything on the clean computer, OL won't recognize the prior OL file. I
receive the error message "Not a personal folders file" yet it has the .PST
extension.

Were there other files I should've copied? Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Scott

How did you "copy" the file? On a read-only medium, perhaps? If so,
clear the read-only attribute from the file. If not, please give more
details.

In most cases, if you get that message, it means that whatever method you
used to copy the PST has damaged it, often beyond repair.

did you copy the past back to the hard drive and change the read only flag
to read/write access?
