Reinstall XP on a new harddrive with Norton Ghost

Hi. My XP is getting too wierd and I am thiking of reinstalling the OS. I
have a ghost image that is made before I activate the OS. I am also thinking
of changing my hard disk to a higher capacity.

My question is will I be able to put in the new harddisk and put my old XP
image and get it to work? Or I have to reinstall everything and go thru a
new activation all over again? Thanks in advance.

If you made the image BEFORE you activated then I would
think you would have to activate again, it's no big deal.
You could just use the drive makers cloneing software and
you won't have to activate.

Just do it. If you have to activate again it will most likely go thru the
internet as normal or at the worst you call ms and they activate you, a five
minute call. Simple.

The imgame will restore a disk partition to the original size of the
original disk. You will then have to re-size the partition with Partition
Magic.

Hmmm, last time I restored a partition to a larger drive, GHOST asked if
I wanted to use all the available space.

If you restore an image made before you activated, that will be back in
unactivated state - but thinking it is way over 30 days since you
installed. So all it will do is boot in Safe Mode until you have
activated by phoning in.

I would move it to the new drive by cloning - but cloning in an
activated state; and then do a repair reinstall over the top once
transferred. Or else just do a clean install from scratch - that will
need activation on the net like first time, but get on the net first and
that only takes 20 seconds or so, Balance really depends on how much
