Reinstal of XP goes away on reboot

I've tried this a couple times. When I reinstal XP, reformat drive also,
everything works fine (I've installed programs and used them) till I reboot
and get a message to insert the CD to to instal it again. For some reason
Windows disappears on reboot.

Mark, did you remove the WinXP CD from the cdrom drive?
