reinstal and trying to access old user stuff

ok had to reinstall and i need the stuff off my old desktop. the file is still there. its not gone or anything. im pretty sure its cuse my other screen name had a password. it had all my vids and stuff on it so i really dont want to del it. help please

If I understand you correctly, you want to gain access to this folder:

For this to work, you need to boot in safe mode in XP Home (F8),
in XP Professional you need to disable simple file sharing in Windows
Explorer > Tools > Folder Options.
