reinitiate paste link (97)

(Office 97)

I have linked a powerpoint graph to excel data - great so far.

When i close the programs and files down, and go back to them later -
how do you reinitiate the "live" link.

Is there an easy way? VBA perhaps?
 
Powerpoint should do this automatically with the "do you want to update
links" message on opening the file.
