Does anyone know if its possible to bring information from a registry back-up "temp.REG" file into an installation of windows 2000 pro that is curretly not working (ie I loaded a second copy of Windows on the same drive as the "now" non-working installation so that I could get access to the drive) Since the entore registry exists in seperate hives of the ....SYSTEM32\CONFIG\.... folder, is there a way to bring back my "good" registry???

Thanks for any help.

That being true, what is the purpose of having the checkbox for "all" when you export the registry to a *.REG file?

Actually I've never used it. But one use would be an offline search of the
registry.
