Obviously something is altering registry settings with clean XP Pro install.
Windows XP Pro SP2 fresh install Intel D845PT motherboard.
Almost each time PC is started, there is an announcement:
"Windows - Registry Recover"
"One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be recovered
by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful"

I reinstalled Windows already twice because of it. Last time I didn't
installed anything else, but XP SP2 from OEM CD. At 3rd boot the message
appeared again. I didn't installed any other drivers except the ones which
come on XP CD. 2nd time I didn't installed any MS updates, while 1st time
all MS updates were installed + MS Office XP.

I have already checked the memory and HDD with different test.

Any ideas, what might be the problem?

Try restoring a restore point under System Restore that pre-dates the problem.

The Registry is restored to the one that was working at that date.

System Restore is under All Programs => Accessories => System Tools.

Hi Eric,

What do you mean?
The system is recovered automatically each time I start computer.
It's a Windows clean install, HDD reformatted, no additional software or
drivers from any 3rd party, there mustn't be any restore points.
There obviously isn't much of sense to intall anything else, until I got
such a message with each restart.

Hi Peter
I know you said you have run memory and Hdd tests.
I would still suspect the memory. Try a few more extensive tests
using different memory testers
